About this Location
We are extremely pleased to announce that our North Fort Hood Center is open! One June 3, 2021 a small group of service members and cadre joined us for a very intimate ribbon cutting to commemorate our reopening. This has been a long time coming and we are so excited to be able to support the First Army Division West and Fort Hood Mobilization Brigade and the 120th Infantry Brigade!!
USO North Fort Hood opened its doors in March 10, 2010. Community leaders and USO supporters were in attendance of the ribbon cutting. This center is located in the North Fort Hood Cantonment Area just outside of Gatesville, TX. Coming in at approximately 5400 square feet.
This center is equipped with gaming stations, comfortable living room seating areas, big screen TV, Bob Hope Legacy Reading Studio, well stocked snack bar, and pool tables.
Currently we are open five days a week Thursday through Monday. We support Mobilized Guard and Reservists who are training and confined to the Cantonment area. Our time with them is brief yet memorable. We see them before they deploy and see them when they return before travelling back to their home and family.
We find it a privilege and honor to serve these warrior citizens during their time here is Texas.
If you would like to volunteer at this center, please give us a call for more information or go to www.volunteers.uso.org and create a profile, we will contact you and invite you to the New Volunteer Orientation.
